BrainTech Alliance in San Carlos - Dr Kate Rosenbluth, Cala Health

BrainTech Alliance: building the connections that bring brain technologies to patients

At the BrainTech Alliance gathering in San Carlos, members of the brain health ecosystem came together to discuss how science, entrepreneurship, investment, and clinical expertise can accelerate the development of new solutions for neurological and mental health conditions.

Among them was Dr Kate Rosenbluth, founder and CEO of Cala Health, a company developing non-invasive neurotechnology solutions for patients living with chronic neurological conditions. With experience spanning medical research, technology development, and company building, she brings a practical view of what it takes to move brain innovation from the lab to real-world patient care.

For Dr Rosenbluth, the value of the BrainTech Alliance lies in its ability to connect the different communities needed to advance the field.

“The BrainTech Alliance is terrific in bringing together innovators from across the ecosystem, everyone from investors to scientists to engineers to founders, to really discuss both the opportunity and challenges for making a difference in patients lives.

It truly takes a village to advance new brain technologies all the way from bench to bedside. And it's wonderful the connections here that are made between the investors who fund companies, and the founders and teams that build these exciting new technologies.

At BrainTech Alliance's next event in Paris, I'm really excited to see some of the latest, technologies emerging from the university, the translation of new, exciting innovations that can really, make a difference in the world.”

Her message reflects one of the central beliefs behind the BrainTech Alliance: the future of brain health will depend not only on scientific progress, but also on the quality of the ecosystem built around it.
